An IOR classic
2016
TO VEN
This summer we wanted to continue what had been canceled the year before due to the break in vacation for work-related reasons, namely the longer trip with our friends from Munich. We therefore agreed to continue practically where we had to stop in 2015. The two of us sailed SNIFIX back to Dragoer on our favorite route via Smalandsfairway etc. after we had done a fine passage of Kiel Canal with neighbors and had met friends in Kiel. In Dragoer our friends from Munich joined us and as a crew of 4 we went again via Copenhagen to Ven. The second trial was also nice, band ut Jörg and Sabine had more time this year and accompanied us. us all the way back to Brunsbüttel. This time we didn't choose the route north around Zealand again, but showed our fellow sailors our beloved Ulvsund route with a stop-over at Nyord and a day at Vejroe. This time the route there wasn't quite as peaceful as usual, there was a lot of wind from the west in the Smalands fairway and we had a sporty cruise. Vejroe was very nice again, and we also met sailing friends who were also on their vacation cruise, and an interesting German-Swedish couple who had had their boat in Vancouver for a few years and absolutely raved about the area there. He then sailed home again single-handed from Vancouver to Europe, and now they spent their time on their 11 m boat with four people on board on a Baltic Sea trip with two small children, a surfboard and even a huge number of empty jars for making jam from blackberries collected on the trip. The fine barbecue areas right on the jetty in Vejroe invite you to larger groups of nice people that you meet there by chance.
For the last leg of our route we once again decided to take the passage north around Langeland and then via Troense through the Svendborgsund, the "Danish South Sea" via Aeroeskoebing back to Kiel (this concentrated load of Baltic Sea sailing highlightswas was also intended as a targeted “compensation attempt” for our friends who were Holiday-cheated the year before). Our fellow sailors disembarked finally again in Brunsbüttel and the two of us had a lively Elbe and Weser sailing home to Bremerhaven.
